During the safari, you get an up-close experience with the wildlife all from the safety of your safari vehicle. Our vehicles offer comfort and safety, while still allowing you to feel like there is no barrier between you and the nature outside your cruiser. This experience is accentuated by the lift-able roof, which allows for premier wildlife viewing. Visitors are not permitted to exit the vehicle at any point, unless it is one of our predetermined locations. Walking safaris are only permitted in areas or parks whose population is comprised entirely of prey species. In addition, our guides are trained professionals who are well-versed in animal behavior, and adhere to National Park restrictions and guidelines when observing wildlife. You are in capable and professionally trained hands with Kopa Tours!
Anyone is able to come and enjoy our safaris! While you may observe the animals panting, you certainly won't be! No walking is required for game viewing, as you will be comfortably lounging in our luxurious custom 4x4 vehicles, with some even offering A/C and Wifi connectivity!
Time spent in the safari vehicle differs from day to day. We list the drive time in our safari itineraries to let you know the time spent specifically driving to or from the park you visit each day. On the days with longer drives to the parks, the trip is broken up with stops for shopping and restroom breaks when needed. Once in the park, you can decide how long you would like to stay during daylight hours. Just let your driver/guide know and they will accommodate the best they can!

Yes, every lodge and camp room is provided with mosquito nets for your comfort and safety. In addition, the bathrooms are equipped with hot water to enjoy a relaxing shower, as well as all necessary linens. The hotel grounds are fenced for privacy, so you can enjoy the evenings outdoors.
The number of beds depends on the lodge/camp that you are staying at. Generally, our rooms are able to accompany double and triple occupancy, while king beds are in some locations as well.
Wear clothes that are lightweight, breathable, and comfortable. We recommend a brimmed hat, sunglasses, and comfortable shoes. Closed toe sandals or tennis shoes are recommended for walking safaris; however, the choice is yours. In addition, layers are helpful as weather can vary throughout the day, and temperature is highly dependent on the sun.
No time is a bad time for a Tanzanian Safari Adventure! Truly, every season has something unique to offer. See our graph below to help with your decisions! The dry season is generally considered to be the best season for wildlife viewing, occurring between June and October. The famous Wildebeest Migration is the absolute pinnacle of dry season wildlife viewing. There are two wet seasons in Tanzania, the "short rains" occur from November to December, and the "long rains" occur from March to May. The wet seasons have much to offer as well, as that is when you have the best chance of witnessing many types of newborn animals! Calving season for Wildebeests occurs in February and March, and over 8000 calves are born each day. But, due to huge prides of Lions and packs of Hyenas following closely behind the Wildebeests, only about half live to see their 5 month birthday.
