Wake up and eat a delicious, hot breakfast at Springlands hotel. Your guide will meet you at the hotel, load your bags into your vehicle, and you are on your way! Today, you will be heading to Lake Manyara for some exciting game viewing and beautiful scenery. The drive from the hotel to Lake Manyara National Park takes about 4 hours. You will have an opportunity to visit a large, and plentiful gift shop on the drive to the park. Feel free to walk around, shop and browse all the beautiful figurines, masks, paintings, hand-made jewelry and novel trinkets.

Upon your arrival at Lake Manyara, you will enjoy a picnic lunch before you start a late afternoon game drive, which is the best time to view animals in the park. When you approach the lake from the east, the Rift Valley escarpment looms on the horizon forming an impressive backdrop to the lake. In the tall trees of the groundwater forest, monkeys leap from branch to branch, and on the escarpment, elephants stand in the shade. Other animals frequently seen are zebras, impalas, monkeys, giraffes, buffalos, hippos, and so much more.

After an exciting first day, you’re itching for more! However, you will first retire for the evening in on of our impressive hotels nearby, and get ready for an exciting day ahead of you tomorrow! At the hotel, you will be served a filling dinner, and have an option to purchase drinks at your leisure.

Breakfast will be served in the lobby of the hotel. Once you are finished, you will pack your bags, and hotel reception will load them into your safari truck for another great day of game viewing. Today, you head to Olduvai Gorge and the Serengeti National Park! The drive from Highview Hotel to Serengeti National Park via Olduvai Gorge takes roughly 3 to 4 hours. Olduvai gorge is an archaeological site located in the eastern Serengeti plains in which some of the earliest human fossils and footprints were first discovered. It has an amazing landscape that resulted from the same tectonic forces that created the Great Rift Valley millions of years ago. After enjoying a rich and fulfilling couple of hours at Olduvai's human history museum, you will then continue your drive further into the vast Serengeti. Along the way, you can choose to visit a Maasai village, which is an excellent chance to get a firsthand experience in Maasai culture.

In the early evening, you will have the opportunity to observe some of the Serengeti's amazing wildlife. Be on the lookout for ostriches, giraffes, and herds of zebra as you enter the Serengeti! After a few hours of a game drive in the park, you will check into one of our luxurious Serengeti wild camps, which is nestled into the plains of the Serengeti. You will be escorted to your tent by our attentive staff, where you can then look out and see herds of zebra and antelope roaming before your eyes. Watch the most magnificent sunset of your life as you enjoy a plated dinner in the lobby and perhaps sip on some wine or refreshing water. Afterwards, retire for the evening in your private tent, and enjoy listening to the sounds of nature as they lull you to sleep.

After breakfast, venture into the corners of the Serengeti wilderness for a full day of game viewing in the park. With a picnic lunch beside you, take your leisure while exploring this world heritage site, where Earth's largest concentration of plain game still roams free! In the Serengeti, you can see herds of wildebeest, zebra, and antelope graze and prance through the park. While you can also find the ferocious predators such as the lion or cheetah amongst the many kopje formations scattered across the plain. In the late evening, return to the wild camp for yet another night of wonderful food and rest.

Enjoy your hot breakfast as you wake up with the Earth around you. When done, pack your bags and drive to Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive inside the crater. This is one of the only places in the world with a chance to see black rhino as well as prides of lion that include the magnificent black-manned males. There are lots of colorful flamingos seen on a salt flat and a variety of water birds. Other game that you can see includes: leopard, cheetah, hyena, other members of the antelope family, and small mammals. You will enjoy a packed lunch beside the peaceful Lake Magadi. Be sure to watch for big, bulbous hippos in the lake! In the evening, you will drive to the Highview Hotel, rest over dinner, and retire for the evening.

After breakfast, you will drive from the Highview Hotel to Tarangire National Park, which takes approximately two hours. This park is spectacular in the dry season when many of the migratory wildlife species come back to the permanent waters of the Tarangire River. Huge herds of wildebeest, zebras, elephants, elands, and Oryx gather to stay in Tarangire until the onset of the rains when they migrate again to good grazing areas. In the late afternoon, you will drive back to the Springlands Hotel in Moshi. Along the way, feel free to stop again at any gift shop or stall on the street that catches your interest! Once back at Springlands, you can enjoy a meal while scrolling through your impressive photo reel! Sit back, relax, and let the whole week’s adventure settle in.
